Barbour Dogs Adventures: Introducing Bryn

From perfect summer days under the sun to tranquil strolls along winding coastal paths, the Barbour Way of Life.

As part of our monthly Barbour Dogs Adventure series, we’re excited to introduce Bryn, a 2-year-old Border Terrier from Wales, who’s ready to share his favourite spots for a pawsome day out. Bryn loves nothing more than sniffing out new trails and exploring the beautiful Welsh countryside, and he’s here to give us the inside scoop on his ultimate doggie adventure.

With his playful spirit and boundless energy, Bryn is always on the hunt for new places to discover—whether it’s chasing after sticks, splashing in streams, or simply soaking up the great outdoors. And, of course, he does it all in style with his #BarbourDogs gear!

List your top three dog-friendly sites/trails to visit and your favourite thing about visiting.

1. llyn y fan Fach, this walk is perfect, a lovely incline to the top with the most beautiful views which always makes Mum happy, I also get to cool off in the lake when we get to the top and have a splash about.

2. Three cliffs bay, this walk is always so much fun, and sometimes if you're lucky you even get to make some friends with the cows (maybe stick to the lead if you're like me and get a little too friendly) but the best part is the stunning beach at the end, which we always play fetch on. 

3. Swiss valley reservoir, a local walk for us but a favourite nonetheless, we love that you can have a paddle in the water along the walk and they even have a cafe there for Mum to get her coffee fix, perfect! 

Walk us through your paw-fect ‘spoil your pooch day!’

I am a very lazy pup so a slow morning filled with lots of cuddles, followed by walkies in one of our favourite places, if i've been a good boy I sometimes get to go to the doggy sweet shop and pick out my own treat for after my dinner, then home to sleep the afternoon away next to the fire. 

What are your top tips for an adventure-filled day with your furry friends? 

Always carry lots of yummy treats, I always appreciate it when Mum has lots of sweets in her pocket for me!

Check the weather, living in Wales, sometimes things don't go to plan, so we always start an adventure off by checking what weather we will be in for, that way we can make sure to take extra layers and our wellies, or if we are lucky, some sunnies and sun protection.

Our Barbour coats, both Mum's and mine, come with us almost every walkies, they are perfect for keeping us cosy on those frosty winter walks. And of course, my cosy Barbour bed for when I get home to rest my little legs after a day filled with lots of exploring
