The Badge of an Original is all about confidence, independence and following your own path. How do you live your life as an original?  

For me, it's about leaning into what feels fulfilling. In work, my priority is doing things that matter. Telling stories that start healthy conversations.   

How does style play a role in your own originality?   

As a result I challenge myself to do things I've never done before. That's led to learning new skills, but more importantly learning loads about myself.    

What is your favourite thing about Barbour International Tourer collection? How does this give you the confidence to take on the day?   

It feels like all the things I love about the brand’s heritage, without leaning into trend!  

Bike or Mike? 

BIKE! Nothing beats the solitude of a motorcycle. It's the best place to think for sure. 

What is it that draws you to motorcycling?  

I love the freedom of my motorcycle. There's nothing better than setting off on a sunny day knowing that travel time is all mine and comes without interruption.    

What makes you feel inspired?  

Art that is undoubtedly authentic. Watching a movie, listening to an album or even visiting an exhibition that comes from a place of truth ALWAYS sparks ideas in me. I love the ability we have to share ideas through art that can be interpreted in a million different ways depending entirely on the eye of the audience.   

What does originality mean to you?  

Everything. I've never wanted to be anyone but my most authentic self. Because of that I've found the best way to express myself creatively in work and in life. That doesn't mean I’ve always got it right as I definitely haven't, but the journey is something I've come to love for better or for worse.

With a varied and successful career as an Actor, TV Presenter, and Director, what keeps you motivated in your work?    

Always trying to find the things that push me creatively and finding the most original way to have challenging conversations, ideally sparking something in the audience.   

What advice would you give to someone wanting to live their life as an original?  

Trusting your gut is harder than it sounds, but listening to what makes you happiest and most fulfilled ALWAYS leads to the best results.
