The Details
Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, the Beaufort® was originally designed in 1983 as a sporting jacket. The style and design were inspired by Chairman Dame Margaret Barbour's visits to France where sporting jackets tended to have more features and style than was usually the case in the UK at that time. The name, Beaufort® was chosen to highlight the continental character of the piece.

First order had to be returned. The team guided me through it in very friendly manner. I reordered size smaller and it's perfect. Been out in showers and jacket worked as advertised. Her jacket was fine however I don't think I'll order another item from Barbour after this experience. I didn't want to believe that they couldn't provide even a tailoring service for a product worth more than £300 (of an order worth more than £500). They live abroad. He had to go back with that jacket and he was upset. Now they are looking for a proper tailor for the jacket to make it fit to my dad's size.
